Merfolk were the very foundation of Shota Aizawa's childhood. Growing up with an absentee mother and a father who worked hard to keep them comfortably afloat, Aizawa found himself growing up faster than most kids his age. Mature beyond his years, he still derived joy from the stories his father would tell him at night. Sitting on the end of his bed, his dad would spin tales of finned creatures who convened with dolphins and wrestled sharks. Shimmering scales and magic that surpassed what was thought to be possible with quirks alone. Stories of seashell hoards and kingdoms built of colorful coral and carefully polished stone. It was one of the few things Shota could look back on and smile. The mere mention of them brought a light feeling to his chest and a shine to his eyes. Thirteen year old Etsu hasn't been given a very good run of life. Stealing chips and jello cups from a hospital just to get some food in her, she doesn't expect to stumble across the room of a five year old Shoto Todoroki. Left recovering alone from a burn scar over his eye and looking terribly sad in his too-big hospital bed, Etsu doesn't expect to spontaneously ask if he wants to come with her, either. Now both on the streets, Etsu's determined to give Shoto the life he deserves. Because if she's going to kidnap an entire child, she's going to commit to it and get him what he needs. No matter how hard it is or how many laws she has to break. After all, she already took him-- anything that comes after is just another cherry on top. Now, if she can just do all that without getting caught, that'd be great. And where do all these other children keep coming from? (Or: Etsu sees Shoto Todoroki in the hospital and thinks he looks very alone. After asking if he wants to come with her, she whisks him away to raise him. It goes a lot better than you'd think. Even if she does get a couple more kids than she bargained for in the end.)

Katsuki Bakugou was almost completely deaf. He could barely hear his own explosions anymore, but that didn't stop him from trying to become a pro hero. He couldn't wait to prove everyone wrong when they said he couldn't be a hero because of his hearing loss. He manages to pass the UA entrance exams and gets accepted, along with his childhood friend, Midoriya. They're placed in class 1-A with the luck that the home room teacher actually knows asl. The transition from middle school to high school isn't the smoothest. Navigating through high school and the pro hero world is hard for someone with all five senses, let alone someone who couldn't hear. Katsuki stumbles... a lot. When Midoriya catches him staring at the duel haired boy in their class during training, he's quick to tease him for it. They sign quickly, Katsuki's movements for aggressive than normal. They gain the attention of Shoto Todoroki, who in turn, stares back. It was obvious that they were signing about him, but he had no clue what they were saying. Katsuki catches on to the staring and signs at him, even though he can't understand. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Katsuki turns to the taller boy, clearly in a pissed off mood. "Yes, I am signing about you." He signs at him, knowing that he won't understand him anyway. Midoriya's laugh was heard through the training ground as he saw what his friend signed. Shoto looked at him, completely lost. "He says that yes, he is signing about you." He translated. Understanding takes over Shoto's features as Katsuki realizes what Midoriya must have just done. Not to mention, he's the only male omega in class, but his parents force him to take suppressants, so people think he's a beta. Little did he know a certain hot-headed explosive Alpha saw right behind that smile. What happens when Katsuki finds Denki in a terrible situation leading to Denki secret being revealed? Amajiki Tamaku was not a social person. The fact that he willingly enrolled into UA for the hero course sometimes astounds himself. He barely spoke to anyone unless it was Mirio or Nejire, so the idea of him in a relationship ever was off the list. On the way home one day from UA, he was listening to music and not paying attention to his surroundings when he bumped into a certain someone who turned his whole life off course! Will things end well for him? Or will it spiral? This is another spin-off of my book (The Wrong Body, Trans Deku). This couple didn't get as much attention in the series. This may include bits from The Wrong Body, but not a lot since this limited Chapter book ends with an event from The Wrong Body. You don't technically have to read The Wrong Body to read this book like my other spin-off series, Boyfriends. Reason because this starts from the beginning of their relationship and doesn't revolve around UA and the students until probably a 3rd of the way finished. I will mention in the story if the books entwine and the chapter from The Wrong Body, the scene happened.
