Gianna "Gia" Walker has spent her entire life learning how to perform. At twenty years old, she's one of UCLA's brightest basketball stars, playing alongside her twin sister Adrianna and carrying the legacy of their late father, a former NBA star, everywhere she goes. To everyone watching, Gia is loud, confident, talented, and impossible not to love. But behind the smile, the jokes, and the bright lights of college basketball, Gia is quietly falling apart.
When she crosses paths with Dani Avanzini, the main dancer of the world-famous girl group KATSEYE, neither of them expects to become important to the other. Dani initially finds Gia loud and annoying, while Gia isn't exactly interested in winning her over. But as their lives become increasingly intertwined, Dani begins to see the girl hiding beneath the confidence-and Gia begins to discover what it feels like to be understood without having to pretend she's okay.
Between basketball, friendship, family, grief, pressure, and a love neither of them saw coming, Gia has to learn that she doesn't have to be perfect to be worthy of being loved.
(This book is really focused on mental health, also this is my first story so bear with me!!!)
