The IllusionWings have lived in magical isolation for thousands of years, and with no record of the Scorching, it's the one place humans can be equals. Ashley is just a guy, a person of normal constitution that lives an ordinary life. There is nothing special about him, except for that part where he got teleported into a different world. But, somehow, it's a place that is familiar to his mind. He wakes up in Pyrrhia, a world he knows from childhood, but has no idea how this happened. Unfortunately, it doesn't matter, this place isn't very welcoming when it comes to the two legged creatures we know as scavengers, and he soon finds himself into a very peculiar situation. However, Ashley has been granted the Ability to speak with dragons at the same time he has been sent here, maybe he will be able to use this ability to make some friends, or, at least, survive. And who knows, maybe he will be able to have a meaningful impact in this new world.

Oracle is a Nightwing dragonet that has joined the Jade Mountain Academy, but he isn't just some typical Nightwing. He was a human from another world, one who had read most of the saga has been pulled over into this world of fiction with a new shape and name, and now he must use the knowledge he has to try changing the future for an easier path, but change beckons more change.

This story takes place about 3 years after book number 15. Contains characters and references to events from the three Wings of Fire book series, including the Dragonslayer. So if you haven't read the books, this story might spoil their plot.
