This is a work in progress, and a first attempt at making a full story. A young man, Azazel, waking up to see that a letter assigned to the prince has arrived by a bloody messenger bird. it is signed by Azazel's father. he finds a cryptic message burned onto letter, he must travel to the cave where his father was last heard of to help the city and stop a depression from arising and discover what the letter means, and what happened to his father.
