[BxB] Aiden Rowe never asked for hockey. He doesn't like the cold, the crowds or the jocks. He'd much rather spend his time watching birds. But when he gets stuck covering the Port Howe Puffins for the school paper, his senior year suddenly revolves around freezing rinks, team dinners, deadlines and a sport he doesn't really understand. Somewhere between the chaos though, he finds someone who actually sees him and maybe hockey and Port Howe aren't the worst things after all. A soft, quirky and occasionally unhinged story about finding warmth (and love) in the unlikeliest of places. Content warning: lots of bird nerding Note: This is very much a queer romance with mature themes. Cover by @surrenderedstories

*****A gothic Wednesday AU***** Reichenbach Academy has always thrived on silence. Pressed uniforms. Polished stone. Perfect control. And something ancient buried far beneath its halls. When a student collapses mid-class with glowing sigils carved into his skin, the administration insists the situation is contained. The students don't believe them. Thorn Rosales, a half-vampire psychic known for trouble, hears the disturbance before anyone names it. A song threading through the academy's bones. Xavier Thorpe, haunted by the Hyde and his past at Nevermore, begins drawing the same symbols appearing across campus, as if something is guiding his hand. Together, they uncover a truth Reichenbach has spent centuries burying. This is a slow-burn, lore-heavy gothic mystery about power, memory, and forbidden connection. Where silence is a weapon, and the walls are starting to sing.

When her therapy app accidentally sends Riley's private confessions to a random British expat - and his to her - what began as a glitch quickly evolves into the kind of intimacy that can only exist between strangers. A slow-burn contemporary romance. * * * When a company health initiative forces Riley Markle to download a trendy mental health app, she fills out the onboarding survey without much thought, expecting to get paired with a virtual gym buddy who'll send thumbs-up emojis twice a week. Instead, she gets paired with Joe, a lonely British expat whose wellness concern of Compulsive Behaviors is flagged by the AI system as a perfect match for Riley. Riley resolves to complete her month of check-ins and be done with it - until a glitch in the app sends both her and Joe's embarrassing therapy videos to each other instead of their therapist. Soon, Riley and Joe are talking late into the night, exchanging thirst-trap videos of their weekend routines by day, and thinking about each other constantly. Both are smitten, both are broken, and neither of them knows how to do this without destroying each other. The plan: Limit all communication to the app until after Day 30, then see where things go. But plans change. * * * 🏆 High Rankings: #1 in LITERARY #1 in QUICKREAD #1 in NEWENGLAND #1 in SHORTCHAPTERS (out of 38,000 stories) #3 in EPISTOLARY #87 in ROMCOM (out of 35,000 stories) #147 in ROMANTIC (out of 86,000 stories) Updated November 2025

After a flagrant display of cosmic irreverence, Elizabeth Evans is left adrift. With no place to call home. No plan for the future. Only a useless college degree, lingering substance abuse issues, and a penchant for burnout. When a childhood friend offers her a chance to start fresh in the sleepless city, Ellie does what any hopeless soul with nothing left to lose would do; she takes it and doesn't look back. Life in New York City is more complicated than this small town girl could have ever imagined. And it would seem the gods have a few more tricks left up their sleeves. Ellie finds herself torn between two worlds. Between her growing feelings for two enigmatic men. Between her wanton desires and lifelong ambitions to finally make something of her sad, little life. The scales must be weighed. Between lust or power. Between desire or reason. Between getting what she wants or doing what's expected of her. She must also ask if those are really the only options. What if she wants more? What if she wants it all? And what is she willing to do to get it? To find out, Ellie must confront not only her past, but the deepest parts of herself. Neither the universe, the city, nor these two annoyingly handsome men are going to make it easy. And only two things are certain; the gods certainly have a sense of humor and the heart wants what it wants. Ranked #1 in literaryfiction (02/26) #1 in representation (02/26)
