💞this story doesn't follow the tbhk plot/lore💞 Amane is a 16-year-old boy that used to go to the worst high school ever, with delinquents who used to bully him, his parents didn't care much, but when he started complaining about it, they decided to make him change schools. Ever since his brother Tsukasa got sick and left him, his parents became stricter even more than before. They yelled at him, blaming him for things he never did, and sometimes physically and emotionally abused him. After losing his twin brother, compounded by the physical and verbal bullying he endured at school, Amane Yugi began to feel gloomy and devoid of strong emotions, as if he had a great emptiness, as if he had lost everything. Then he began to think it would be easier if he left this world. His greatest desire was to let his dreams wander, leaving them unfulfilled, but he was still held back. After he transferred to the new school, he began to frequent it, unable to make friends. No one looked favorably on him; between bad whispers and comments, it was as if nothing had changed. Then Amane's eye fell on a girl, named Yashiro Nene, she was the kind of girl that everyone loves, super popular and energetic who would be manipulated by a pretty face with a beautiful bust, the kind of person that Amane hated more than anything else, he despised her, not for long maybe?

(Y/N), otherwise known as Hanako-san, is the most powerful apparition in Kamome, though she isn't the only strong one. She enjoys bothering the other powerful apparitions in her spare time and unofficially protects the school from lower, pesky supernaturals. Her days in death were a little dull, but what could she really do about that? That is until one day, when a short, bruised boy comes knocking on her stall, wishing for the impossible . . . ~~~~~~~~ I don't own the cover image, it's from the awesome MiscellaneousFan, and she doesn't own the pictures used to create it. I also don't own Toilet Bound Hanako-kun/Jibaku Shōnen Hanako-kun or any of its characters. This story is not official to the anime or manga in any capacity and takes place while Amane is still alive, long before the events of the show and manga. However, there will still be spoilers for those who haven't read the manga. Where exactly the spoilers are won't be mentioned. I have abandoned the story because I started this while I was 16, and as I'm no longer a minor I don't feel comfortable writing a romance story with a reader x minor character. Hello! Alright, so this story is set in my own version of the idol AU, and it is PURE FLUFF. There's some moments that aren't (they're more serious/emotional scenes), but I make sure to add plenty of fluff after to make up for it! •Hanako is alive in this AU, and "Hanako" is just a stage name he uses. He's a faceless idol, so all you hear are the songs, but nobody knows who he is or what he looks like. •Yashiro and Amane aren't close at all in this AU. She knows his name, but they've never had a full conversation, only ever the basic classmate conversations you'd expect. •Amane's parents are the only ones who know that he's an idol. Not even Tsukasa knows. •Amane doesn't have any friends in this AU, like in his canon backstory. He doesn't skip classes, however he does always have bandages or plasters (bandaids if you're American) on places like his nose and arms. •Tsukasa is very much like how he was in canon in this AU. His parents are aware of what's going on with him, but they're too scared to do anything because of things that will be revealed later on. •Amane's personality is overall the same as in canon, same with Nene. Soon enough, Amane starts to have feelings for her. Meanwhile, Hanako tries to find Yashiro wherever she is. He hopes that she wouldn't meet his human self. Although Yashiro wants to go back, she finds life with Amane really interesting and wants to stay with him. But she knows that her ghost friend will be worried about her. Will Hanako find her?
