"That's your biggest fear?" Wanda asked, brows drawing together. "Loving me?"
"You..." Anastasia whispered, toying with the hem of her sleeve. "It's complicated."
"What about this is complicated?"
"All of it." Anastasia admitted softly, voice coming out as a mere whisper. "You. The pressure, the people, the cameras, my family, the expectations. I can't afford to be that."
"To be what?"
"Gay."

Anastasia Fontaine-Stark, mostly called Ana, was the picture of grace. Soft dark eyes, delicate curls, and a face that seemed rather soft and warm. To most Anastasia could be described with only one word: quiet. All her life she had been soft spoken, of course that didn't mean that she had nothing to say. Anastasia had plenty to say, she just didn't speak if she had nothing to contribute as it seemed pointless to her.
After being taken for her discipline, grace, and potential, Anastasia is trained to be something she had never thought of herself. A soldier. She picked up combat as if it were a dance, held a gun like a flag, kicked like a spin. Everything was dance, yet they had twisted it from life to death.
When she is deemed no longer useful, she's sent to Sokovia to prove herself under a different project. She is granted powers she didn't think possible, making her question everything she knew to be true. It's there that she meets the Maximoff twins, one who is loud and brash, the other who is warm and soft.
Wanda Maximoff is the only one able to communicate with the mute girl, allowing her to wander through the gardens of Anastasia's mind. Friendship seems inevitable, but the pull seems like more. Something more dangerous, at least to Anastasia's mind.
All she knows is that if Wanda were a boy she would marry her right on the spot.
