It all started when Henry Emily and William Afton started Freddy & Friends in '73. 10 years later in 1983 Y/n's younger sister, Charlotte Emily, "mysteriously" died. Y/n and Michael bonded over the death of their siblings. Y/n doesn't want to have anything to do with the Freddy Franchise that her and Michaels dad made, but she's still witnessing every traumatic thing within this franchise, even up to Michaels death.

Afton Robotics LLC; voted America's most reliable tech company since 1983, is known mainly for making animatronics for a pizzeria chain owned by Fazbear Entertainment. In fact, Mr. Afton is the co-owner of the local Fazbears Pizzeria. Y/N's parents assist in supplying Afton Robotics with minor technical supplies, when Afton finds out that the L/N's have potential in building his new line of animatronics he promotes them to executive technicians. However, this came with a small catch, they needed to move to the same state as Afton to work in his shop. Y/N L/N, caught up in the middle of her parent's careers, doesn't like this idea.
