As the boy walked he heard how the ground under his feet crunched and his own breathing. His hood was over his head now. Toby was pretty far from the mansion now, he felt free in a way. Relief washed over him as he kept walking. Quickly coming to a halt when he saw someone. Quickly hiding behind a tree, Toby noticed a girl. She was sitting on a tree log.
Gripping one of his hatchets, Toby observed the girl.
She had H/L H/C hair. Her face was hard to see though, it was covered by her hair. Looking at her posture, she was slouched over with her hands in her lap. She wore blue sneakers with baggy jeans and an oversized black jacket. Toby gripped his hatchet harder as his body wouldn't move. He strangely couldn't move, it's like his body wouldn't physically wouldn't let him just kill her. Giving up, Toby let go of the hatchet and sighed softly. He lowered his mask from his mouth breathing in the fresh smell. Lifting his goggles from his eyes.
He sat and watched the girl from the tree he was standing behind, his hands pressed against the tree. Quietly observing the girl's every move, his brown eyes following along her movements. Occasionally Toby had to silence his ticks because he was scared of drawing attention to himself, which would alarm her.
Something about her kept Toby so captivated and invested. He couldn't understand why. Just her presence alone forbid him from even harming her.
