And, seven years after Above's suicide, the detective known as L met an untimely death as well, at the hands of Kira. His too was a life cut short; a story incomplete. But there's no such thing as 'the end'. There is no final act of existence. The fact is, we continue to exist long after we're gone, the only difference being what form we take, and for what purpose.
