Penelope sees a new season begin, and she knows that this time again she will have no suitor. However, against all expectations, Prince Friedrich is back and takes a particular interest in her. The young woman does not want to get her hopes up, but she is sure that she has finally found love. I do not own the rights to this story. The original version of this story was written in French.

Colin continues his tour with a trip to Italy. However, when his letters to his dear friend, Penelope, go unanswered, he returns home early to see her. Penelope makes it clear that she does not wish to see him, leaving him quite distraught. In his room, Colin finds a love letter addressed to him, the traveling Bridgerton. He now has two goals this season; to get back into Penelope's good graces, and to find who wrote the letter. Penelope has goals this season as well; to find a husband, to get Eloise to forgive her, and to continue her role as Lady Whistledown.
