Riley Scott is a woman whose voice could move mountains, but her confidence has always faltered in the face of her talent. When her best friend Emily secretly enters her into the prestigious X Factor competition, Riley's life takes an unexpected turn. As Riley nervously steps onto the stage, she captures the attention of not only the audience but also one of the returning judges, the renowned Gary Barlow. Gary, captivated by Riley's raw talent and vulnerability, sees beyond her insecurities to the star she could become. As the competition heats up, Riley finds herself navigating not just the pressures of performing but also the complexities of a deepening connection with Gary. However, the X Factor rules strictly forbid any romantic involvement between contestants and judges. Amidst the glitz and glamour, secrets, and challenges, Riley embarks on a journey of self-discovery, uncovering her strength and worth along the way. "The Spotlight" is a tale of music, passion, and self-discovery, where Riley Scott learns that sometimes finding your voice means embracing the courage to love against all odds.

Over a year ago this scene just jumped into my head, it had no back story and not really anything that came after it, just this scene. Listening to the chorus of Freeze this scene just popped back into my head, it's seemed to describe exactly the feel I got from this scene. We can stay here if you hold still We can stay here for life if you say you will We'll be caught in a moment of time If we all freeze Don't even breathe Everyone freeze Then you won't leave ©2014 GemsTT

Set in the savage, primordial world of the The Walking Dead, the new original short story "A Fork in the Road" by Jay Bonansinga, the New York Times bestselling author of The Walking Dead: Invasion, tells the tale of one person's epic quest to escape their fate in Alexandria, Virginia. The only problem is, nobody leaves the ranks of the violent gang known as the Saviors and lives to tell about it. The struggle to flee the clutches of this group and find peace among the ruins of northern Maryland leads the reader directly into the heart of darkness. And like most stories set in this terrifying world, things in the end are not at all what they seem. Inspired by Skybound and Scopely's The Walking Dead: Road to Survival, the official mobile game for Robert Kirkman's popular comic series, The Walking Dead. Inspired by Ruthie's Drabbles, I thought I'd give it a go myself. Turns out writing only 100 words is really blimmin hard, and whilst I'll try to stick to the word limit, forgive me if I go over it a little! Hope you enjoy! © 2015/2016/2017 GemsTT
