The Young Justice team is give a mission by Batman to go on an undercover mission at Gotham Academy. Their mission is simple. They have to figure out which student is the member of the Court of Owls and is planning on attack the school and it's students. China would have honestly been better than this. But luck was not on his side, it never was, and probably will never be. But this was cruel, even for the fates, or the gods, or really anyone. Because everyone seemed to wish Nico nothing more than a rather sucky life. The only problem was Nico himself. Gods, did he need to get a grip on his life. Especially as he stared up at the rust Iron sign that read 'Welcome to Gotham!'

Then the Oracle speaks another prophecy. One where Nico is the bad guy. To protect himself, and camp, Nico flees once again, leaving behind his family, friends, and everything familiar for the twisty, crime-ridden streets of Gotham City. Now, feeling more alone than ever, Nico has to keep his nose clean and try and discover the meaning behind this newest chain of catastrophic events. But trouble seems to follow the son of Hades, and soon he's faced with a new challenge- family. As Nico tries to juggle hiding his own demigod identity from five of the world's best detectives, and discovering the secret behind their own late-night disappearances, the prophecy begins unwinding around him, sending him into a downwards spiral of disaster and discovery. Nico finally gets out of that weird hotel, only for everything to be different. There are a lot more lights, and everyone is staring at this tiny screen, and the weird lawyer lady is watching him now. His dad visits sometimes, but not enough. His sister is growing distant, which makes sense, she had her own life. It still hurt sometimes though. Then things start to change. He meets the Waynes, for one. Gotham is a big scary place, when he's allowed out into it, but they're nice. And their dad is funny. A lot funnier than his dad.(Don't tell Hades he said that. Ms. Alecto keeps saying he'd smite Nico. Nico didn't believe it, but still.) So yeah. Gotham is fine. His life is... nice. Even when the lights flicker because Bianca is yelling at him, then Ms. Alecto gets mad at her for not controlling her emotions. Even when he's allowed to go outside and he sees ghosts. He doesn't tell Ms. Alecto about that, he doesn't want her to get mad at him. Everything is fine. Then these weird people started coming around their house, and Ms. Alecto started telling them to stay out of the house. Where were they supposed to go? Bianca says the library. But Nico kinda wants to visit their neighbors next door. They seem nice. Not weird at all. The Second Giant War was gruesome. With only 3 of the 7 left alive, they demigods of prophecy left the camps. They were unable, or maybe just unwilling, to be in the places where their friends once walked. They chose to escape the world of demigods while they still could. They wanted to try for normal so that maybe, one day, they could forget any of it ever happened. They wanted peace and safety. He had lost his grandparents, his mother, Bianca, his friends, and then Hazel... he missed her more than he could bare. He couldn't go to either camp or the underworld without feeling like his chest would explode from the pain. He knew she was in a better place. Her and Frank were in Elysium with Jason, Piper, and the rest of the heroes that died in the wars. She was at peace. Maybe she had even managed meet his mother and they were watching him now... though he honestly hoped they weren't.
