*Complete AU* After the former club teacher was fired and it looks like it's over, the English teacher, Joyce Byers, takes over the Glee Club in order to give the kids a voice. She creates the name "The Aubreys" for the Glee Club and is able to get five recruits. But the rest of the kids don't want to sign up in fear of losing their popularity status. Joyce leaves it up to the first five recruits, El Hopper, Mike Wheeler, Will Byers, Dustin Henderson, and Robin Buckley, to get more members in order to compete in sectionals. Their first attempts: Quarterback Lucas Sinclair and head cheerleader Max Mayfield. Unfortunately, Joyce has the cheerleader coach on her back, angry that the principal cut part of her budget off for the Glee Club. The cheerleader coach, Sue Sylvester, will try to take down the Glee Club and get her full budget restored. Along the way, the Glee kids will encounter slushees, an angry cheerleader coach, sectionals, regionals, love, hardships, and discovering themselves through song. Especially when it comes to El Hopper and Max Mayfield, two complete opposites.
