Kartik Singhaniya was control wrapped in power. He was cold, commanding, and unshaken by defiance. In his world, lines were drawn in stone... and no woman dared cross them. Until she did. He came to choose a bride worthy of his name...soft, obedient and predictable. Instead, he chose her. Chahat Rathore - a mistake wrapped in beauty. A temptation he should have rejected. But behind that veil stood a girl with fire in her eyes and rebellion in her blood-her curves soft yet dangerously distracting, her presence impossible to ignore. She wasn't delicate... she was disarming. The kind of woman who didn't ask for attention, yet commanded it effortlessly. She played a game, pretended to be her elder sister and tried to make him walk away. But monsters don't walk away. They claim. What begins as deception spirals into something far more dangerous...a marriage tangled in forbidden tension, stolen glances, and unspoken hunger neither of them is willing to admit. Because she is his would-be bride's sister and that only makes it worse. He watches her when he shouldn't. Thinks of her when he mustn't. Wants her in ways that break every rule he has ever lived by. And when circumstances force them into a marriage neither expected... The line between right and wrong shatters completely because this marriage was never about love. It was a deal. A condition - an heir. She agrees for her sister. He agrees without knowing the whole truth. And when that truth comes out... It won't break him but unleash him. Because Kartik Singhaniya doesn't accept betrayal. He punishes it but the most dangerous part? Even in his anger, even in his control... He craves her. Not gently or purely but in a way that consumes. In a way that ruins. In a way that turns forbidden into inevitable. Some cravings aren't meant to be resisted... They're meant to destroy you.

🔞 She was so busy that she didn't notice the bedroom door opening behind her. Arjun stepped out, running a hand through his messy morning hair. He stopped when he saw her. For a moment, he simply watched. His sleepy eyes slowly turned mischievous. He walked toward her quietly. Before she could realize he was there, his arms slipped around her waist and pulled her gently toward him. She widened her eyes. "What?" He leaned closer with a teasing smile. "You are tempting me in the morning, bujjamma." She immediately tried to turn back toward the stove. "Leave me, Arjun. I'm getting late. The children will wake up any time soon. I have to make them ready for school, and then I have to-" "What did you call me?" She stopped. Her heart skipped. Slowly, she looked at him. "I... I mean..." Arjun raised an eyebrow, waiting. She swallowed nervously. "I didn't mean anything..." His expression became even more playful. "What did you say?" She tried to escape his hold. "Arjun... no, no... bavaa. Leave me. We're getting late." He laughed softly at her sudden change of words. "Good girl." She gave him an annoyed look. "Bavaa, please. We really are getting late." He shook his head, still teasing her. "You know you have punishment for that." Her eyes widened. "Punishment? For what?" "For calling me something you shouldn't." "I didn't-" Before she could finish, he gently took her hand and began leading her toward the other room. "Bavaa!" "Come on. We have a lot of other things to take care of too." "But the breakfast!" "I'll handle it." "The children!" "They're still sleeping." "Bavaa, please..." He opened the door and looked back at her with that familiar mischievous smile. She sighed, realizing she wasn't going to win the argument. The door slowly closed behind them. And for the next few minutes, the breakfast-and the morning rush-could wait. Avira Sahay was raised to believe that good daughters adjust. Good wives endure. And marriages are not meant to be abandoned simply because they become painful. So when twenty-five-year-old Avira is married into the wealthy Bedi family, she does exactly what everyone expects of her. She adjusts. To the rules. To the insults. To the control. To a husband whose apologies always arrive after the damage is done. Yashvardhan Bedi knows exactly how to look like the perfect husband when the world is watching. Behind closed doors, love becomes possession, marriage becomes permission, and Avira slowly learns how easily a woman can disappear inside the life everyone else chose for her. Until one day, she finally understands something terrifying. Nobody is coming to save her. So she leaves. With one bag, barely any money, a family that refuses to stand beside her, and no idea what comes next. Starting over is not beautiful. It is cheap rooms, sleepless nights, courtrooms, fear, loneliness, and learning how to make decisions without asking permission first. But somewhere between rebuilding her life and studying law, Avira begins becoming someone she almost forgot existed. Herself. And then she meets Advocate Ruhan Kaul. Sharp-tongued. Annoyingly observant. Infuriatingly calm. He misunderstands her before he understands her, argues with her before he befriends her, and falls for the woman she is becoming without ever asking to rescue her. Because this is not the story of a woman saved by another man. It is the story of a woman who walked out of one life, built another with her own hands- and discovered that love feels very different when it is finally hers to choose. The Girl Beyond Marriage is a story of survival, second beginnings, law, found family, slow-burn love, and a woman learning that leaving was not the end of her story. It was the beginning.
