This is a story where Lance and keith are school teachers, but keith has epilepsy and life isn't always that easy, but together, they will find a way This will be a themed series of one shots.

Lance has nightmares about his family back on earth, and whenever he needs to calm down from one he'll go to the control room and just sit. He'll stare at the stars and try to handle things all on his own. But one night, when a nightmare that topped all nightmares crashed into Lance's head, he wasn't able to calm himself. Keith had seen his teammate upset that night and decided to take mater into his own hands. Between deadly battles and wrenching heartache, both paladins grow closer than ever to each other as feelings are dug up. Rivalry turns into friendship, and friendship turns into something more. Will they make it out of this alright, or will the path that they take together cut their relationship off at the head? This is my very first fanfic so sorry if it's absolute trash. Also, this takes place a while back When Zarkon was their main threat but I altered the timeline so that Pidge had her brother. I know, I'm terrible but ehh. Merfolk with Blue tails, were treated with the most respect- were the most wealthy and the most privileged, usually royalty would have these colored tails. Purple tails were behind blue tails- Not usually royalty, but they were also quite wealthy- treated with a little less respect then blue tails- but still treated with a lot of respect and were also pretty privileged. White tails weren't that wealthy...but still wealthy enough to provide, They weren't treated with a lot of respect but still got some, and they are a bit less privileged then purple and blue tails. And then there is Red Tails. They we're treated with little to no respect at all- not wealthy all the time, usually poor- and Not privileged at all. They we're treated like dump And every red tailed mermaid and merman HATED it, Until one very tragic day, The Red tails broke out an attack on the entire kingdom...sadly the end of the battle. The kingdom was broke to shambles- and the Red Tails were banished to a place called The Galran caves, were no Merfolk has ever dared to enter. Years and Years has passed from that tragic day....To the present day: Keith is a Red tailed merman. Sadly living in The Caves with his brother thanks to his ancestors. But Keith was a very....Disobedient child and went past the Caves anyway, even with fair warnings not too. Lance is the Soon to be king of Altea, The kingdom of the merfolk, he is a blue tail and is living happily with his sister Allura, and his father. Until Lance set off to explore the outside of the kingdom, even though he was said not too and bumps into a certain Red tailed Mullet. Is this Mer-meeting Fate? Or is it just a silly encounter.

"I don't care what Hunk said," Keith interrupted, his voice sharper this time. "You don't owe anyone an explanation. If you want to be with Allura, go for it. But make sure it's because you want to, not because you think you should. If Allura asks you out, just say yes or no. You don't owe anyone anything when it comes to your feelings." Lance looked up at Keith, his blue eyes searching for something in his face. Keith's heart gave an unexpected jolt, but he didn't let it show. Instead, he slowly rested his head against Lance's, both of them turning their attention to the sunset as it deepened in color. Keith couldn't hold Lance's gaze for too long. "Okay," Lance murmured, shifting to get more comfortable against Keith. Lance stared out at the horizon. "Everything's so beautiful out here." "It is," Keith agreed, his voice quieter now. (What if Lance had frozen and couldn't ask Allura out on a date in Season 8, Episode 1? Instead, Lance realizes his feelings for Keith and asks him out on a date. This is my take on fixing Voltron and writing what I believe should have happened.)
