But somehow... he's the only one who ever saved me. Λšβ‚Šβ€§κ’°αƒ π“‚‹ ΰ»’κ’± β€§β‚ŠΛš Alec Donovan is the kind of boy you cross the street to avoid. Bruised knuckles. Leather jacket. Eyes like warnings. Everyone calls him dangerous. I called him Angel. Once. As a joke. Because he showed up when he shouldn't have- ruined my night, saved my life, and looked at me like he regretted both. Now the nickname won't die. Not when he kisses me just to shut me up. Not when he punches the boy who touched me wrong. Not when he looks at me like I'm the only good thing he's ever seen. I'm supposed to be perfect. Future designer. Top student. A planned-out life. My father calls boys "distractions." Alec Donovan is the biggest distraction I've ever met. The kind that ruins your lipstick-and your destiny. But when the world gets loud, when my past catches up, when my father gets cruel, when everyone expects me to break- he shows up. Silent. Breathing hard. Eyes full of something he refuses to name. He's the only boy who's ever protected me. The only one who scares me. The only one who truly sees me. He Is My Angel... even if he looks like the devil. Λšβ‚Šβ€§κ’°αƒ π“‚‹ ΰ»’κ’± β€§β‚ŠΛš "At least I'm not hiding behind anger!" He moved before I could breathe. One moment across the table, the next-right in front of me, his hand braced against the wall beside my head. His other hand slid into his pocket, casual and tense all at once. "Careful," he said, voice low enough to vibrate in my chest. "You're saying a lot of things you don't mean." Λšβ‚Šβ€§κ’°αƒ π“‚‹ ΰ»’κ’± β€§β‚ŠΛš

I wiped my eyes once again to see deep piercing green ones looking down at me. More tears came as I saw the root of my anger, and I stood up pushing past him. I tried to run but got pulled back by a hand grabbing my wrist. "What happened?" Clyde demanded angrily. "Get off of me!" I growled and pried his fingers off my wrist and continued to the bathroom. Once inside I went into a stall and grabbed some toilet paper to wipe my face. Why was I always crying? I heard the door open and I tried to contain my sniffling so that they wouldn't hear. Then I looked down to see the feet and saw Clyde crawling under my stall. ~~~~~ Alexa Moore is a crybaby. She can't deal well with her emotions; if she is frustrated, angry, sad, mad, or hurt she can't help but cry. She hates that she always feels the need to cry and tries to stay happy by being unconfrontational, and staying away from jerks. Clyde Wood is seemingly heartless. Through the bad, sad, hurtful, and pissing situations he appears to be tougher than nails. Sure he is happy most times, but in the eyes of many he is a heartless jerk that picks on everyone. If it wasn't for his great looks he'd probably be with the Gothic kids, not the popular ones. That, and he made a hobby of being a player. Alexa meeting Clyde was definitely a recipe for disaster, causing her to shed more tears than in her entire 17 years. The year goes from good to bad to good to bad, and end bad? With so much heart churning events, will there really be a rainbow after the storm?

Carter slowly walked towards me, butterflies swarming in my stomach, filling every inch of me. "Assi." he grabbed my wrists, and made me look at him. "Who was that song about?" "You know who." "Was it... about me?" "What would you say if it was?" I cocked my head to the side, our eyes staying connected with each other. "I wouldn't say." he moved closer to me, towering over by the slightest bit as his breath surrounded my every nerve. He leant down, took a sharp breath and connected our lips. - Astrid was a beautiful girl, who had lost her sense of who she was and where she belonged. She went through something traumatic at only 14, but no one noticed. She moved to Roseville for a fresh start with her best friend Kaitlyn by her side. But Carter notices. He was a "bad boy" with a heart of gold (ik it's clichΓ©) . He never let anything slip by him. He doesn't say anything as their personalities clash and they hate each other. You know what they say, there is a thin line between love and hate. Will these two step over the line? But sometimes, running away from your problems doesn't go down unnoticed. The very person Astrid ran away from is after her, and this time, the consequences will be worse. -- This is an enemies-friends-lovers book and they become friends early on because I find it difficult to write going from enemies to lovers so yeah. *unedited book* #1 in talent show (29/02/24)
