"Mein Kampf. My struggle. It is different for everyone, is it not? I just didn't want to see the world from someone else's point of view. I have my own story, so do you and so does everyone. These white pages are for me to write my story" --- x --- x---- Two young hearts in love. The propaganda that questioned humanity. A war that divided the world. The pages of history that sullied the soil. A tale was spun when Germany entered a new era with Adolf Hitler. With that tale happened the forbidden story of two young Germans in love, an Aryan and a Jew. As the world was thrown into the chaos of the Second World War and the Holocaust, new horrors unfolded in the peaceful lives of the young lovers. Death and despair that was tested with the strength of a smile or two.

Erika is thrown into a war she never asked to be part of nor agrees with. She lives in a family who have already suffered the loss of a mother, a step-mother and now face the loss of land and further life due to war. She is curious, which leads her to see unspeakable events. In the woods she begins to see the true horrors of the war, witnessing the murdering of Jews, and the rounding up of communities. Her best friend is caught and raped by the soldiers which leads her to exact revenge on those responsible. From this day she helps the British and resistance troops in any way she can, leaving food, providing safe passage through the woods and town and helping Jews out of the area. In doing this she meets an English soldier whom she falls in love with. The war however forces them to be parted. As Erika comes of age she joins the Werhmacht. She tries to continue in her efforts not to support the war, but finds this increasingly difficult when she meets a German soldier who sweeps her off her feet. This makes her monetarily question what she has done and is doing. She thinks that she falls in love with him, until he becomes aware of her efforts against the war. Following her failed relationship, she learns her brother has been killed and returns home to relay the news to her father. The war soon ends after this and life begins to return to normal, she goes to a dance and meets Eric again and realises he truly is the one she loves. This book was inspired by stories told to me as a child by my Grandmother, Erika. She died before this book was written, therefore much of the filling information making this into a story is fictional, however the essence of her, the stories she told and the life she lived are the soul of the book.

(Still correcting for errors!) The German soldier goes through many things during his time at war, love, horror, and fear. But every soldier of any side knows that there's only one way out. He'll have to survive the new technologies of warfare. A soldier's greatest strength is bravery and moral that grows and lives in the soul. Soldiers test their strength in battle, the strong ones die as the weak ones run. War is an experience that is limited. We all don't know what it's really like. When you look at a soldier that has been at war, you can see it, its written on their faces and engraved in their eyes. A World War Two fiction story about a young man named Albert Schroeder, a twenty one year old German soldier of the Wehrmacht, has been sent to Western Russia to fight the Soviet Union in the summer of June 1944. In military training in Northern Germany, he meets another soldier named Kurt Smith. Kurt has been his friend since military training until his death in a battle against the Soviets during the early night. After Kurt's death, Albert faces many problems with another death of one of Kurt's friends from high school, Ralph Schäfer that he had just met. Albert will then be taken to a place many soldiers of his kind have gone before, a Russian P.O.W camp and might stay there for most of the war until it is over or will Albert try to escape during the night and go on a huge journey back to Germany? What if Germany won World War 1? And what if World War 2 was just around the corner? The year is 1937, and the world is once again lurching towards a global conflict. Only this one isn't like the World War II we all learned about in history class. In this alternate history, Germany won the Great War (or Weltkrieg, in German), the United States of America never got involved in WW1, and all the Entente powers - including France, Britain, and Russia - collapsed into civil war and political revolution. For Karl Schreiber, a young university student in Germany, all that just seems like history, and one that doesn't directly impact him. But when he receives a call from his father asking him to return home, his personal life collides with the global forces set in motion by that history. A home town he barely recognizes, a family teetering on the brink of collapse, and the looming threat of his own mortality all swirl about as he finally realizes that his world is a world headed towards war. Based on the popular "Kaiserreich" mod for the Hearts of Iron 4 PC game, this first in a series of short stories are part fanfiction (based on the amazing work of the Kaiserreich developers) and part standalone alternate history fiction. Probably more enjoyable if you're a fan of the game/mod (or a giant history nerd) but hopefully accessible to all! This story begins our tour of the globe on February 3, 1937 - one fateful year after the global financial catastrophe that sent the world reeling and the gears of war into motion.

GENRE: ALTERNATIVE HISTORY What if Israel had lost the War of Independence? May 1948. The whole world was waiting for a miracle, but it didn't happen. Instead of heroic confrontation, American resentment and the professionalism of the Arab Legion led to the fall of Tel Aviv and the methodical expulsion of the Jewish population. The victory was won, but it was only the beginning of a new, deeper tragedy. This is a story about people who find themselves hostage to triumph and exile.: Mahmoud Al-Shishani: Major of the Circassian Corps, war hero. His impeccable duty ("Dain wa Sharaf") earns him not fame, but a bronze cage: he is forced to guard empty houses in occupied Jerusalem, having lost his love and soul. 💔 Leila: A Palestinian refugee from the Al-Tarabin tribe. She sees how the Legion's victory does not bring freedom to her people, but only changes the occupiers. Leila's pain turns into steely determination, and she leaves for Beirut to become a soldier and leader of the radical underground. Ezra Halperin: A young Jewish fighter who miraculously escaped from Lod. In exile, he learns that his homeland was destroyed not by war, but by the president's personal grudge.
