Bilba has been a slave her entire life. All she knows of the outside world is what she sees from time to time outside the gates of Moria and the stories her mother used to tell her. Stories of a place called the Shire where her mother once lived and a placed called Erebor where, as far as she knows, her father still lives. Stories of dragons a thousand times larger, and more intelligent, than the beasts the orcs rode and of a strange concept called freedom where one was allowed to live as they wished with no one to tell them what they could, or could not do. The stories meant little to Bilba. The only future she had was to live, and die, as a slave as countless number had before her. And then the orcs dragged an injured female firedrake through the gates, her rider screaming obscenities behind her as he fought to reach her side...and everything changed.

Elementals were once a completely separate race in Middle Earth. Now, very few exist, and they live in the forms of Elves, Dwarves, Men, and Hobbits. One in particular was close to the crown prince of Erebor. She was like a daughter to him, until Smaug came and destroyed everything. Having the chance to reclaim his homeland, will Thorin Oakenshield be able to rebind what he'd broken so long ago? Note: Story contains a degree of graphic violence. Also published on Quotev AN: I do not own "The Hobbit" or any of its contents.

Araya is a Hera. You're all probably thinking so she is a goddess with a funny name (like Hera in Greek mythology). No. A Hera is a powerful creature of many races and is usually female (kind of like a goddess I suppose). They are part elf, part dwarf, part fairy, part siren, part human and part dragon. Araya accepts a letter to go on an adventure with Gandalf, a hobbit and a band of Dwarves. On this adventure, she meets for the first time in a few years the almighty Thorin Oakenshield and whisked away on a journey full of happiness, fun and maybe even LOVE

"The things we love destroy us every time, lad. Remember that." Fairies are one of the oldest race of beings in Arda -once they called Numenór home- but Arethusa watched as the sea claimed the island from the helm of a ship as the survivors fled to Middle Earth. She has wandered for several lifetimes and has seen nearly all there is. Long had she set aside her bow and sward for, in truth, a healer's hands see more blood than a warrior's. Over the years, she had grown to love the ways of hobbits and there is no hobbit she adores more than Bilbo Baggins. When her visit is interrupted by a band of uncouth dwarves and her dear friend goes running out his door on an adventure what can she do but follow? Once upon a time the Fae walked the lands of Middle Earth. Once upon a time a hobbit took a fairy wife, founding an entire bloodline of hobbits carrying traces of fairy blood in their veins. Every so often this blood acts up, resulting in a hobbit being born who's just a little bit...different. Such was the case with the birth of Bilba Baggins, daughter of Bungo and Belladonna Baggins. She's a little more wild than most, a little more adventurous, and a lot more prone to rescuing long lost dwarven princes from the clutches of vile Necromancers, befriending wargs and aiding in the reclamation of kingdoms from megalomaniac dragons. Frerin, son of Thrain, son of Thror is perfectly fine with this. Well, maybe not the befriending wargs part...

The Line of Durin fell, and Bilba Baggins felt as if she fell along with them. Unable to find peace upon returning to the Shire, she takes to the road and spends her life alone, fighting to protect the weak, training in futility to fight a battle long since won, and to save those long since buried under stone. Her road is a lonely one, but one she feels she deserves for her failures to save the ones she loved. The One she loved. She once thought she would find peace in death, and in the hope of seeing those she loved in the afterlife, but it seems even that is to be denied her, for as her eyes close in death, they open again - to find herself back in Bag End. And the date on the calendar is the day a wizard once appeared, and asked her to join in on an adventure.

Bilba Baggins is a bit shy. Okay, she's a LOT shy and when Gandalf shows up and dumps an entire Company of dwarves on her she is decidedly NOT amused.......or capable of speaking to them.....particularly the dark haired one who happens to be a PRINCE. Thanks for that heads up, Gandalf. All she can think is Kili should have a warning sign on him. It could say something like: "Caution: Exposure to KILI could result in side effects including but not limited to - - Incoherent speech - Inability to speak at all - Increased clumsiness - Decrease in brain function In a few cases more serious side effects have been reported including, but not limited, to - - The sudden urge to run off on poorly thought out adventures - Delusions where one believes they are capable of stealing from Trolls and/or dragons In order to limit the risk of developing one or more of these side effects individuals should limit their exposure to KILI to brief bursts of staring or sidelong glances." Honestly, it'd only be fair.
