Autumn looked out her window, at the oak tree that was in the middle of her backyard. The limbs were big enough to climb on. She always imagined sneaking out of her house, using the tree as her accomplice but she never had an opportunity to do so. The best pictures are the ones taken at night. With or without a flash. And with someone to come with you. * * * * * Thank you to @thinkingfingers- for making this cover! Highest Ranking: General Fiction #150

Peyton Stiller learned in sixth grade that you cannot get through life without bending the rules a bit. In order to do so, she picked up a few little tricks to help her along the way. Now, being in high school, things have come easier to her because of the way she can easily persuade people with the bat of an eyelash, or letting her hair down from her ponytail and adding in a voice change. And also use, her looks to her advantage. But she prefers to stay in the shadows and out of popularity, frankly because she cannot stand the people. Not to mention her awkward self would stick out like a sore thumb. But when a day comes when she meets someone who is just as skilled at these little tricks as she is, things take a turn. Whether they are for the worst or not she doesn't know. And it doesn't help the situation that this person just so happens to be the most popular guy in the school and the biggest jerk alive. All she has to do is keep her cool, keep up with her family, handle her wacky best friend, and put up with the new entry in her life by using the methods of simple manipulation. But sometimes the simplest things in life, are the most complicated of all. COPYRIGHTED © daretodaydream All Rights Reserved. Chloe knew she was giving up the quiet life when she married Hollywood A-lister, Jason Vanderholt. She expected harassment from paparazzi but not from the writers of Blood Ritual, a television crime drama that brought national attention to a tough case she is trying to solve as a forensic scientist. While she and the rest of the Albuquerque Police Department once collaborated with the show, now relations have gone sour, and details that the police are trying to keep secret in the investigation are cropping up in episodes watched by millions. If that weren't enough, everyone in Chloe's life seems to be going through a rough patch, from her best friend, Lori, who is trying to plan a wedding, to her niece Kyra who is upset about Jason's choice of television roles, to Jason himself who is inexplicably moody and withdrawn. None of this drama is the type of thing Chloe knows how to resolve. She is trained to do one thing: hunt down the big bad wolves of the world. But with her connections to fame compromising her work, she may not even be allowed to stay on the case. The clock is ticking as law enforcement agencies across the country try to find a serial killer before he strikes again. Chloe is faced with a choice, to help catch one of the most evil criminals in history, or provide support to the friends and family who have always been there for her. Either way, she feels she might make the mistake of a lifetime.

[COMING OF AGE NOVEL] Skye Hemming is one of many--a girl who finds herself in Wisconsin, with more than just the present on her mind. Between school and friends, she juggles one year after another with the help of her best friend and partner in crime, the half-British boy Fynn whose family originates from England, but has lived in Port Bergen since day one, directly across the street from the Hemming residence. Among the commotion of losing friends and gaining new ones, Skye comes face to face with challenges she never expected to confront, stringing together emotional unbalance, internet fame, and the dreadfully awful drama between cliques at school. In any case, Skye's place in Port may just be another whirlwind of adventure. The following pages record Skye's life from first grade to high school. Please support my book in the 2015 Watty Awards!
