But when things don't go according to plan, Foxpool must team up with her leader, Turtlestar, and her warrior friend, Rosethorn, to go where no waking cat has gone before: the forests of StarClan. But all friendships have cracks, and those between these three cats might just be big enough to cause the downfall of their Clan.

Minnowpaw is just like any other RiverClan apprentice. She is loyal, strong, a determined to become a warrior that her Clan can be proud of. But a strange accident leaves Minnow with an invisible curse that starts to take the lives of those around her. One by one, Minnowpaw's Clanmates begin to turn on her, and tragedy threatens to tear RiverClan in two. Angry, confused, and scared for her future, Minnowpaw begins to believe that the best way to serve her Clan is to leave it behind forever.

Prophecies are works about journeys and saving clans via StarClan's designated cats. StarClan can't predict everything though, right? Sparkfur is hated by much of her clan. She's much more intelligent than any other cat, she's sassy, and an annoyance. They have half a mind to kick her out, but at the same time, they would never put the deputy's sister in the dangers of being a loner. That's the difference about DrizzleClan and its fellow bordering clans: the rogues are savages that will murder any lone cat in cold blood if they don't join up with the growing Rogue band. So no blunt prophecy from the heavens, but we do have Sparkfur and her tense-relationship with her brother Berryfoot to stop the massacres.
