Lucy is Tim's rookie and he falls for her quickly without even knowing it. Her kidnapping takes a toll on his feelings about her and is jealous about any boyfriends she has. Both backstory and trauma from each party are fairly deep with one another and maybe that's why they're a perfect fit. However, the little hookup before Tim and Lucy go on the Jake and Sava op turns things around for them both.
