Intro:
This story is inspired by real emotions. Names and situations have been changed.
*Nyra, 18, lives more in her imagination than reality. She dreams of being understood, of someone noticing even her smallest tears. Yet, surrounded by friends and family, she feels alone...
Part 1:- "A familiar stranger"👀
The day had been like any other at school. Classes dragged on, teachers lectured, friends laughed over small jokes, and Nyra went through it all like clockwork. By the time the final bell rang, she felt the familiar mix of relief and emptiness. Another day done, routine followed, nothing out of the ordinary.
She walked to the bus stop, her bag resting heavily on her shoulder, and climbed onto the bus. Settling into her usual seat, her eyes wandered through the rows of students. That's when she saw him.
A boy, sitting a few seats ahead, wearing a crisp white shirt, black pants, and white spectacles perched neatly on his nose. His hair fell slightly over his forehead as he read some notes, completely absorbed in his own world.
Nyra's chest tightened for a momnoticed his smile even then, though she didn't know his name.
And now, seeing him again, so ordinary yet striking in his focus, that familiar smile flashed in her mind. The boy she had barely noticed last year now sat in front of her, and for some reason, the memory felt alive, as if nudging her, whispering that some connections are never just random.
Nyra looked away, pretending to check her phone, but the memory lingered. That small, unnoticed smile from last year had somehow found its way back into her thoughts, making the ordinary bus ride feel strangely... different. 👀
