Mia nodded, her eyes raking up and down Charlotte's body, landing on Charlotte's arms, "Are you cold?" Charlotte snorted, "Pfft! Me? Cold? Never!" Mia raised an eyebrow, not convinced as she stared at the woman in front of her, "Charlotte." Charlotte blinked up at Mia, fluttering a small smile, "Yes?" Mia handed Charlotte her jacket without a word, "Put it on." Charlotte nodded slowly with a thumbs up, her face suddenly becoming all hot for some unknown reason, "I will." Just as she went to go walk away, Mia stopped her again, her eyes darting between Charlotte and her jacket. Charlotte bit her lip nervously before handing Ella to Hallie for a moment. "Char?" Mia said, still holding onto Scarlet. Charlotte slowly slid on the jacket, the sleeves went past her hands and dangled at the ends of her fingertips, "Mhm?" "Why are you denying putting it on?" __________________________________________________ Charlotte was never supposed to fall in love again. After her divorce, she swore down that she wouldn't date anyone again to not put her daughters into a toxic environment again. Mia could never love anyone correctly, she couldn't willingly hold a relationship for a long period of time. I mean, after what Roger did to her, it completely messed up how she saw love. But what happens when they get left alone?
