This is a re-write of a previous story I wrote because I didn't like how it turned out. I'm a new writer here so PLEASE don't hate, I'm trying my best! The Stories of The Hidden Islands follows a group of doctors working out how to live their daily lives after a mishap in surgery that leaves one of their friends bed-ridden for months.

Wren is a world-class expert at being invisible. With a wardrobe of oversized "armor," a strict ritual of heavy metal and incense, and a backbone made of chocolate éclair, she has successfully avoided being noticed for twenty-four years. But Friday night is about to ruin everything. When her best friend, Jade-a maximalist force of nature-drags her to a sweaty, underground concert, Wren's carefully constructed "invisibility cloak" is set on fire. It starts with a song called Songbird. It continues with Layla, a lead singer with a raspy voice and a single dimple, who decides that the girl with the cherry-red braids is the most interesting thing in the room. Suddenly, the girl who hides from mirrors is being hunted by stage lights. As Wren navigates a world of edgy bands, awkward strangers with tissues, and "tough love" Red Bulls, she has to decide: Is it safer to stay hidden in the shadows, or is it time to find out if she actually has wings?

With plot-twists, friendship struggles, revenge, and even betrayal this story shows how Dot manages it all throughout her high school years.
