Harry's always lived vicariously though the illustrious fairy tales his mother crafted for him, even when it goes against everything he's supposed to believe in. But after a night of flames and futility, Harry questions every lesson he's ever been taught- especially the value of his own life. Caught in the disastrous catastrophe of a father devoted to a punishing Church and the threat of a dismal existence, Harry's own book seems to be withering at the seams. However, when Harry considers his fairy tale at an end, fate, God, some great force, decides that the cover of his story has barely been opened, and that the pages are waiting to be filled by the mysterious scrawl of a supposedly fictitious creature that dwells under forbidden waves. And it just so happens that Harry's ready to read.

May Fredericks hates New York. Which is fair enough, since New York seems to hate her back. Just weeks after moving from Wisconsin to Manhattan, she receives the world's worst marriage proposal, stabs her boyfriend with a shrimp fork in a very public venue, and accidentally becomes notorious. And that’s before she gets mugged. At her wit's end, May washes up at a Packers bar in Greenwich Village, where she meets a surly, unhelpful guy who hates her shoes and calls her ex a douche. His name is Ben. He used to be a chef. Now he's a rooftop beekeeper with anger management issues. She wouldn't even like him, but he reminds her of home … and he knows where to find all the best food in the Village. She makes him laugh. He buys her tacos and cowboy boots. The longer they’re stuck together, the better May and Ben get along … and the harder they fall. TRULY is a quirky, modern New York love story unlike any you've read before. ********* About the Serialization TRULY, the first novel in Ruthie Knox’s forthcoming New York Series, will be serialized in its entirety on Wattpad. "Time is now abstract, but not of the essence. Any and all meaning it once held has been destroyed, leaving Harry unsure of whether weeks have passed or months. Time seems never ending now, no one to talk to, nothing to do, no motivation for either even if they were options. " Sometimes, we try to save people. Sometimes, people try to save us. And sometimes, we fail.

Instead of walking towards me like I expected, he turned away from me. His shoulders tense and hands clenched into a fist. The scruffy converse he wore scrapped against the linoleum floor leaving black line. Silver trudged forward and stopped until he was more that twenty feet away from me. He looked over his shoulder at me as though daring me to follow him. Pale blue eyes glinted with mischief and the air around him sparked with mystery. He jerked his head forward indicating to me he was going. It was that moment I realized what he wanted me to do. He wanted me to chase him. Chase him to wherever he was going.
