Sophie Foster has had enough. After gaining a new, powerful ability, she is fed up with the Black Swan who think she is a traitor. So she runs away to the Never seen and joins them.

What if Dex didn't go after Sophie? What if the Neverseen's original plan succeeded? What if they don't even bother looking for her and believe the lies? No one loved her. Her best friend was mad at her. Fitz and Biana never really cared for her, and her guardians didn't want her. She was all alone now. A freak, different, something to be ashamed of. What even was the point of her life? Her ears rang with her sobs, that echoed through the cave sounding like there were thousands of her sobbing. It was so loud she never heard the footsteps till it was too late. A hand wrapped around her mouth and a cloth covering her nostrils. A thousand things flew through her mind in the matter of seconds. But none of them were coherent. All she could do was struggle. She felt the fumes sink into her brain. Turning everything sluggish. With the last of her strength, she tried to transmit a plea for help. But she knew it was hopeless, all she could manage was a whisper of a help. This story idea was inspired by @kae_was_here's story Dex Returns Alone.
