Most people only know the circus as a rumor. A collection of strange performers. Uncanny people. A traveling attraction that appears where it shouldn't and leaves before anyone can ask too many questions. Kiraw never intended to get involved. Curiosity has a way of becoming a habit, and habits have a way of becoming mistakes. The more she learns about the circus, the more impossible it becomes to look away. Performers begin appearing where they shouldn't. Faces linger too long in crowds. Conversations stop when she gets too close. Something beneath the smiles feels wrong, though nobody around her seems willing to admit it. Eventually, Kiraw learns too much. The circus decides she cannot be allowed to leave. The plan is simple. *Get rid of the problem.* Unfortunately, Kiraw refuses to die. Poison fails. Knives fail. Every attempt to make her disappear only raises more questions about who, or what, she really is. As suspicion turns into obsession and curiosity becomes something far more dangerous, the performers begin to realize they may have made a terrible mistake.
