Damon groans in pain as he rolls over onto his stomach. He opens his icy blue eyes, smoke blurring his vision. He props himself on his elbows to get a better look at the fire-engulfed basement. Fire surrounded him and the tomb vampires. Groans and screams fill the room with the sound of crackling wood fading into the background. His skimming of the basement stops when he sees a familiar face. Damon squints at the girl, trying to see through the smoke. Suddenly, his eyes widen. "Isabella?" He yells; his voice hoarse. The Romulus girl coughs; rolling onto her side. Bella whimpers; raising her hand to her bloody forehead. "Isabella!" Damon shouts louder. Bella jerks her head at the blue-eyed Salvatore. "Da-Damon?" She quivers. A weak tomb vampire beside her grunts; flipping onto stomach and opening his eyes that immediately land on the human girl in front of him. His eyes roam her face, but stick to the blood on her forehead. His eyes quickly fade to black as the veins under his eyes pulsate. The vampire gulps hungrily. "Blood..." He moans. The man grasps her ankle and yanks her towards him. Damon watches as her brown eyes widen and she's pulled further away from him.
