Viserys and Aemma are brought back days before their wedding and because of what happened(the dance and everything after) they decide to change things around. Viserys would not sleep with Aemma until they were both older and Daemon would marry a Celtigar(a lesser house but with Valyrian blood) and would make sure the dragons live and the Long Night does not happen. Because of this, Viserys and Aemma have seven healthy children-Aegon, Visenya, Rhaenys, Aelyx, Daeron, Rhaenyra, and Baelon. Viserys also does not listen at all to Otto and does not fall into his trap, especially after the deaths of Aemon and Baelon and Viserys named as heir. For her pregnancies, Aemma either spent them at Dragonstone or The Vale for safety knowing that the Hightowers had control of the maesters in the city and they had weakened Aemma on purpose. When he becomes King, Viserys names Daemon as Hand and Rhaenys and Corlys on the Small Council to amend the rift. But Otto keeps trying to insert himself into Viserys's life but Viserys blocks him at every turn though he does make sure that Alicent isn't a pawn used by her family and keeps her close with Rhaenyra.
