Wilson and Brando are in the middle of a heated argument-over something as trivial as music. Wilson, hunched over his notebook, is convinced the song he's writing is terrible. Every note feels wrong, every lyric falls flat. But Brando disagrees. To him, the song is raw, honest-something worth holding onto. What starts as a simple disagreement quickly turns into something bigger, neither of them willing to back down. Frustration rises, words sharpen, and the tension between them builds. Wilson and Brando have always been insepritable. Ever since they were old enough to understand the concept emotion. When summer rolls around again, its not quite the same. The air is thicker of butterflies in their stomach and a feeling of love they can't quite name, and the blue Texas skies isnt the only thing making their faces beet red.

After the events of Caramel, Wilson and Brando have to navigate their new life in California, away from the Texas scene. Facing trials and tribulations, discovering new parts about themselves and each other, all the while trying to maintain a healthy, happy relationship. The sequel to my previous fanfic (The Story- W+B forever?), do Bran and Wil have what it takes to love each other under all circumstances- that being long distance? Based off of Will & Bran from Conan Gray's music video for 'This Song'. They were best friends that never wanted to admit their feelings for each other. Wil's parents were heavily religious and believed if you were queer that it was a straight-ticket to hell. Will and Bran used to believe this, that there was something wrong with them even if they wanted each other so badly, to be each other's so badly. Until the week before summer ended, a week before Will left, the longing became too much to bear.
