Laylah Miller may appear to be a typical teenager, but this is not the case. Before Douxie arrived, Merlin took Laylah in as his appearance many years ago. Douxie had always liked Laylah since the first time he met her. Who, after all, wouldn't like Laylah? She's sweet, strong, self-assured, and extremely generous. After nearly 900 years of mopping floors, Douxie was finally called upon to assist Merlin on a special mission. It was expected that after nearly 900 years without seeing Douxie, Laylah had forgotten about him. But, much to his surprise, she hadn't. Laylah, like Douxie, is an orphan with no parents or siblings. The Trollhunters join Merlin on a mission to defeat the Arcane Order. However, Douxie, Laylah, Claire, Steve, and Jim are sucked into a time machine and find themselves in Camerlot around 900 years ago.
