Yet succumbing to greed for more, the betrayer used the very power of Goddess herself against her, striking her down. Once he dealt the final blow, the Betrayer consumed her soul. Wrathful, the rest of the Gods and Goddess bent together to slay the betrayer, making him a treachery lesson to be told to generations to come. Millennium later and the whispers of the Betrayer still hang from old people's tongues and are written on decaying scriptures. Folk tales are taught as a lesson to their children so they don't attract the Wrath of the Gods. But in truth there is so much to learn.
