Elowen River Ashford has always been a quiet and reserved girl, and now after a terrible tragedy, she is forced to move to New York. To a city that is unknown to her. She knows no one from here and she misses the safety her home town provided for her. Elowen can't go back though, her father, who dragged her here in the first place, would never let her.
So she has to act like it doesn't bother her at all, when in reality, she is terrified. She wakes up everyday though and goes to school, where all she tries to do is dissapear. She doesn't want people to look at her, to notice her being there, she just wants to stay quiet and be invisible.
But when she meets a girl, who introduces her to the friendgroup she is a part of, everything changes. She locks eyes with a boy who's nothing she's ever seen before.
Joseph Andrew Starkey is the boy who everyone wants in high school. He's popular, funny and handsome, everything that you need to be well known. He is a part of the friendgroup everyone wants to join, but never really gets the chance to be an insider. Except for one girl, who when he frist meets changes everything.
Elowen and Drew couldn't be more different and the question lies in this.
Can their differences be the fuel to a relationship that migh blossom? Can there be a bridge between a quiet girl and a boy who's outgoing and loud?
