Sion was a lead dancer in Seoul who was on the verge of reaching success with his dance team when he found out that his girlfriend had passed away due to a car accident while on the way to his dance festival. Consumed by grief and unable to perform, he retreated to his hometown, Mokpo, spending his days floating on a boat in the Yellow Sea. A few months later, Jiwon arrived in Mokpo from Seoul, seeking her own temporary change from her own heartache and an unsatisfying job as a marketing assistant. She quickly began to date again while attempting to rediscover her own passion for life. Their worlds collided one night when Sion spotted a woman who looked like his late girlfriend stumbling onto the street. He rushed over to prevent another tragedy, only for Jiwon to tell him that she was not his girlfriend. Their annoyance with each other's presence grew when they discovered that Sion delivered seafood to the very restaurant Jiwon's parents owned. They tried not to cross paths, but perhaps Mokpo isn't such a big city after all. As they met and shared the same inner circle of friends, who were embarking on their own meaningful journeys, the two wanderers ultimately had to face their own challenges and each other with the courage to ignite their own passions that may lie far beyond the shores of Mokpo. "I wrote him as a monster... Now I must live as him." Carter, a struggling author, wakes up trapped in the body of Felix von Frederick-the very villain he created for his bestselling dark fantasy series. A spoiled nobleman with a legacy of cruelty, Felix is destined to betray his family, unleash a demonic war, and die a coward's death. But Carter refuses to play his part. Armed with knowledge of the story's future and a mysterious golden eye that whispers of forgotten prophecies, he fights to rewrite Felix's fate. Yet, the world resists his changes. The more he defies the original plot, the more the universe twists back: allies turn suspicious, enemies emerge too soon, and the black-marked cult-a faction he barely fleshed out in his drafts-hunts him as a "false soul." But the hardest challenge? Telling apart his own guilt from Felix's lingering sins... because the line between author and character is blurring. "The greatest story he ever told... was his own curse"

Nellie Davis has finally shaken free of the life that was slowly shrinking her. Plus-sized, stubbornly kind, and done apologizing for taking up space, she's pouring her heart, savings, and far too much caffeine into a small bakery of her own. The ovens are warm, but business is not, and her hard-won hope is beginning to falter. Then a little girl with a crown of unruly curls and a guarded father step through her door. Their arrival feels oddly fated, their presence disarming. And as they return, again and again, Nellie starts to rediscover pieces of herself she thought she'd lost and stumbles into a story far bigger than the one she set out to write.
