Rouge goes to Sonic for help, hoping he could help her. She reports how Shadow goes missing days at a time, sometimes with unexplainable injuries. But recently he's gone missing like usual, except for it's been two weeks when he usually comes back in three days. On his search he soon finds a severally beaten and unconscious Shadow and takes him home to heal. Shadow and Sonic get along shortly but soon fall in love.
