Jax, always shielded by his cynicism, seems to know more than he lets on. In his eyes lie broken memories and a fear that betrays his constant mockery. Between him and Pomni grows a tension impossible to ignore: a blend of rejection, complicity, and secrets no one dares to name. But the system's errors aren't just harmless glitches. Distorted voices, strange reflections, and fractured memories begin to surface. When they are arguing, instead of lunging at Jax, Pomni looses it and tries to end it. She didn't think reaching a game over with the intention of it being permanent would lead to anything. Expect it does. Jax is on the brink of abstracting, practically microdosing on it everyday now.. Everybody seems wary of Jax and seems to avoid him. Pomni is scared for Jax, she doesn't want to let him go. She believes Jax is innocent and Caine controlled him. This fanfic takes place after episode 7. Crazy right? How can anyone make a happy ending after that.
