Two years have passed since the Battle of the Five Armies and Erebor has returned to its former light. To save Thorin's life Gandalf used a very ancient spell that not only saved him from death but also rejuvenated him. His age and appearance returned to when he was 90 years old. He is only a few years older than Fili. Isola is a young hobbit woman who lives in the Shire with her less than parent worthy father. So she spends most of her free time with her cousin, Bilbo Baggins. One day, a wizard whom she vaguely remembers as Gandalf, comes to her while she is at work and asks her to join him and Bilbo at dinner that night for talk of a quest. She agrees to come to dinner, and is suprised to find a whole company of dwarves who are charming in their own way at her cousin's home. Isola joins the company for the adventure, and she learns that family does not have to be blood, and what it means to belong. And unexpected to her, she finds the one she'll never forget, and the one she'll never let go of. I would like to add that the chapters you read will not be fully edited until I complete the book. So there will be typos, flaws in the plot, ect. I am going to do some heavy editing at the end. Everything up until then is more of a draft. I do not own anything exept for Isola and some added plot. He suffered many long, lonely nights without his beloved Queen until, after his son leaves him, he cannot handle the silence and he finds himself seeking something in the arms of another. When Eirien finds herself summoned to the King's chambers out of the blue, she is more than a little confused, but finds herself more than happy to serve her King despite the cost to herself. The biggest rule the King has for this arrangement is to not fall in love with him and it seems such an easy thing to just agree. The Queen may be dead and gone but they are still married and he will always love her, always be bound to her and Eirien knows this... but the more time she spends in his company, the more she gets to actually know him, the more she begins to realise that she has already fallen too deep. As time continues to pass and Mirkwood continues to darken, the threat of Mordor creeping ever closer, Eirien finds herself at a complete loss. If she confesses, she will lose him for good, but if she keeps quiet, she will only further torment her already broken heart.

Thranduil and his new wife, Elanore, find themselves entangled between the struggles of middle earth and their longing for each other. Just a general disclaimer. Your father refuses to let you go off on an adventure so when a band of dwarves come to your home you take it upon yourself to go with them after they break out of the cells. You travel behind them while they are in the Mirkwood barrels and protect them when there are orcs attacking them. Soon when you stay with them and try to help one of the dwarves the hobbit that is with them asks you to stay. "Won't you stay with us?" the hobbit asks I look over at the dwarves and Thorin looks at me and the hobbit. "I suppose if she wants to stay she can but don't go telling your father where we are" I raise my hands up defensively, "I would never"
