Asia lives with her abusive dad Mike. He blames her for her mother's death due to cancer. After Mike losses his job they get evicted from their house and move to Jackson Mississippi where Mike's parents left him a house after their death. When Asia is caught stealing food at a store by a mysterious boy Asia cant help but wonder who he is. Asia is about to find out she is not as weak and that she possess powers that have yet to be unleashed. This boy and six others will soon show her that she is in control. They will unravel the truth as to why she feels such a connection to them and why Mike starts to become determined to keep her on a leash (not a real leash)
