"I just have to ask," he says with so much defeat in his voice, "is there anything I can do to make this work?" "It's me hyung," I tell him, "You're not doing anything wrong. You don't have to change anything." "I'd do anything to keep you though," he says quietly. I know he's embarrassed to admit he's that desperate. "Please," I beg him out of frustration, "leave me behind. I'm no good for you." "Don't decide that for me," he says with the same frustration. "We both know I'm never going to be what you need." As we continue on SKZ's journey, the members feel as if they can overcome anything as long as they have each other. The team is solid, unbreakable. Their compass points onward and upward; they're no longer lost. Navigating relationships within the group, however, leave many of them feeling a strange sense of being in Limbo. I would consider the Finding SKZ series an easy read; lighthearted while still fulfilling the reader's need for drama. No crazy triggers to mention, just 8 silly boys having a silly time while trying to navigate becoming idols and developing feelings. I enjoy interacting with my readers, so please comment and join book club discussion! WARNINGS: suicidal thoughts, graphic language , 18+ smut Timeline 2020-

"My toes flirt with the edge as I scrape my shoe across the concrete, wondering how I would feel without it beneath my feet. I lean forward one last time with my hands grasping the railing behind me. Contemplating. Sigh. Maybe another time. I shiver from the wind and turn back around, hoisting myself up and swinging one leg over to straddle the railing. The wind gusts again, making me almost lose my balance in this vulnerable and awkward position. I quickly clasp onto the railing for dear life. I sit there frozen for a second with tense muscles and wide eyes. After regaining my balance I laugh to myself about how silly I must look right now. It's funny how instinctual it is to cling to life. It's even more funny knowing moments before I was contemplating taking it. I set us back so far when I lost everything. The kids deserve everything this world has to offer, and it's up to me to provide that for them. I want to be the platform they can jump off into all the success they ever could dream of. They saved my life - I want to give them the world." Chan has felt lost for so many years. Is this what he's really meant to be doing? Little does he know, seven other kids will soon come into his life and change everything.
