Maya left 19 just after she was made Captain years ago. Now her girlfriend Carina needs to move to Seattle to take care of her brother. Obviously Maya comes with her, however the only free captains position is at 19 and that leads to a very interesting reunion. Through time the team realizes it wasn't Mayas desicion to leave and what she has been through in the last couple of years.

Carina and Maya DeLuca-Bishop are married loving couple. Maya is a firefighter at the Seattle Fire Department, and Carina is a GYN a doctor at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. Carina and Maya have been eager to start a family, Carina's been having issues and Maya as well, the pair don't wanna give up so they kept looking into different ways on how to start a family. Carina becomes a hostage in a situation at the hospital, as a fire also breaks out in the hospital, Carina and Maya come across a 6 year girl that will forever change their lives.

While in a rut after stepping down from captain, Maya is approached by friend about helping out with a SPD investigation working to gain more information and get into the inner circle of a couple that is suspected of child trafficking through charity organizations. Maya agrees and soon finds out the partner they have selected is none other than Carina DeLuca. Will our duo succeed?
