AN ORIGINAL PJO STORY Ever since her trip to Tartarus, Ashe Argentum's powers haven't worked the same. Mastering the powers she inherited from her father weren't too crazy, but because of what Tartarus did to her mind, controlling any new magical ability feels impossible. She can't retain Hecate's lessons, and whenever she tries any kind of witchcraft, it's uncontrolled and she can't direct it, causing one too many disasters. Hecate's solution seemed straightforward. A temporary aid- a staff. She'd use it by channeling her magic into it, and directing the stored enchantments through, like a conduct. It seemed like the perfect solution- just until she recovered mentally from Tartarus and wouldn't need it to keep things from going awry. But when Hecate doesn't show up to one session- and one session turns into many, it doesn't take Ashe long to realize something is up. There is no trace of her mentor- anywhere. Ashe's attempts to contact Hecate have proved unfruitful, and her even her father has mentioned that he hasn't seen Hecate around the Underworld for weeks. With no way to check up on Hecate, and no one able to give her the whereabouts of her teacher, Ashe's only hope is to follow Hecate's instructions and find the staff, and pray she finds Hecate on the way, begrudgingly taking her friends along for the ride. They need to find Hecate- and fast. Because in the world of gods, everyone plays their part. And when one is gone too long, all Hades breaks loose.

Apparently that's what's you're supposed to do when you're friends with someone. Now, I'm stuck with these people. But what I'm more concerned about, is just what is waiting for me in the Underworld....
