Mike, Will, Robin, and Vickie are in the squawk. They're waiting for Dustin, Steve, Nancy, Jonathan, Hopper, and Joyce to return from the upside down. They decided they should go and try to find out where Vecna is keeping all of the kids that he has abducted. Will had gotten knocked out from getting flung across the air by some unknown force (probably Venca) and now Mike, Robin, and Vickie have to keep an eye on him. But Mike finds something out that changes his life forever.

Mike has had a hard time after the party left for college and left him behind. Fortunately, summer has approached quickly and they were coming back to Hawkins. Mike and Will felt themselves drifting apart, but now that Will is home, Mike doesn't want to let him go.
