And loving someone like Maddy means never being enough. [AUTHOR'S NOTE] This story takes place between the end of Season 2 and before Season 3. I started writing this because I felt like the time gap between the two seasons left a lot unsaid especially after Lexi's play. Some storylines felt unfinished, almost forgotten. I'm not pretending to recreate exactly what the show's creator would have done, but as a fan of Euphoria, I wanted to explore what could have happened during that time. This story doesn't only focus on the relationship between Maddy and Rue (which I honestly didn't expect either... but somehow, TikTok convinced me). It also follows other characters like Nate, Cassie, Jules, Fezco, and more. You can think of this as a kind of "special episode" or a missing piece between seasons. Of course, some elements might not perfectly align with the future of the show, but this is just my interpretation of what could have been.
