Lorelai was held prisoner for many years by Beron and his son, Eris. Taken at the mere age of thirteen, she spent five, long years of her life being tortured and beaten for the amusement of Fae. Fortunately, a kind soul lived in the castle. Lorelai was trained in secret how to survive, ultimately becoming a weapon. Soon, Beron took notice of Lorelai's new-found skill set. Although she was human, she could beat nearly anyone in a fight. Needless to say, she became one of the best assassin the courts have seen in centuries. She was sent on missions to spy and assassinate wherever or whoever Beron see fit. Lorelai never questioned him, just did what she was told. Through her years of torture, beatings, and killings, Lorelai became cold, heartless even. Lorelai was to marry Eris on her eighteenth birthday. Lorelai wasn't naive. She knew her purpose as a human and Eris's was purely for his pleasure. The though made her sick, giving her life away to be a slave to Eris, who was no doubt crueler than his father. On the night of her wedding, Lorelai decided that she would attempt to escape or die trying, either one was better than her fate. On the final stretch to her freedom, she collided with something that would change her life. Or should I say, someone? {Azriel x OC} {takes place during A Court of Mist and Fury}

Eternal: (adj.) Lasting or existing forever; without end or beginning Athanasia never complained about her situation. She never felt like she had the right to. A random event leads her to befriend a small boy. A boy that she believed she would never see again. His situation was heartbreaking, she knew that there are others that are more unfortunate just like him. However, this one encounter changes everything she expected of herself, gave her freedom when the world only wants to swallow her up. --- "Why are you doing this? Why are you befriending me? Though we met five hundred years ago, why do you still bring me into your life? So much can happen in that many years but instead of staying with your friends or finding other things to do, you're with me. Why?" I ask again. Though I don't like being so forward, I can't help it. I'm scared to hurt him. He shifts his gaze to me. His hazel eyes gleam into my blue ones as if he knows something that I don't. "You're right. I had five hundred years, five hundred years to stay with my friends and five hundred years to find other hobbies." He pauses, taking in breath. "But I had five hundred years without you, we only had two weeks together. And those two weeks were the best I've ever had. That's why I want to continue them-with you, Athy." --- Disclaimer: All ACOTAR characters and plot belong to Sarah J. Maas. My characters and scenes are my own work.

Her life has been one of ritual, restraint, and restless longing for answers she knows she'll never have. Until Hybern. Mere months after Amarantha's fall, soldiers descend on Cesere and the High Lord of the Night Court finds Nephele bleeding and burnt beneath the worst of Hybern's males. Rhysand offers her refuge in the House of Wind, a sanctuary carved into the mountainside beneath a starlit sky that watches over the dreamlike city of Velaris. Yet grief leaves Neph hollow, and nightmares of blood-stained snow and a tether to something unknown stalk her sleep in the library at the heart of the House. Something stirs in her blood. A power she never knew . . . another truth she was never told. A bloodline buried beneath a life built on lies. Night's spymaster, 𝑨𝒛𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒍, is just as drawn to her as his shadows are. Night's general, 𝑪𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒂𝒏, is haunted by a familiarity he cannot make sense of. Nephele is desperate to uncover what was taken from her as war builds on the horizon. Every truth unraveled makes the world tremble beneath her feet. She never could've predicted what life beyond temple walls had waiting for her . . . And she certainly never expected that it would be two Illyrian warriors who would finally awaken the 𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓 within her heart.
