(This FanFic takes place in the 18 months before Stranger Things season 5, mentioned in episode 1, season 5) It's been two weeks since Hawkings fell. Will Byers is a shy, introverted, and nerdy boy who loves playing D&D with his friends. He and his family now live with the Wheelers, because their home was destroyed at the same time Hawkins was torn into four. This means Will has to live under the same roof as his crush, aka Mike Wheeler. How will he manage living with his crush without Mike discovering the dangerous truth? Mike Wheeler is oblivious, loyal, and a strong leader. He is happy that Will now lives with him, so they can spend more time together. He would do anything for his friends. Will Mike ever notice the way Will really looks at him, the way he truly feels?

Tension, yearning, real life threatening danger, and slow burn goodness 🔥 Will has been mostly honest about himself to everyone, but he still has one secret. Mike's world is spinning because, for once, he is not oblivious, and Will was pretty obvious about who his crush was, and the dots are finally connecting for Mike but are they connecting too late? And will Mike survive long enough to find out? The story is mostly using canon stuff from the show, but I've changed a lot from season 5 vol 2 from chapter 7 onwards. Its basically an alternate ending where Mike and Will actually admit their feelings, and byler happens😁 inspired by some of the cool theories I wish we got in season 5. I don't own any of the characters or the original story.

The Stranger Things finale marks a dark day for Byler shippers...so here's how I imagined Byler's life moving forward after the ending. English isn't my first language, pls be kind. The story is picking up in summer, 1 year after the party graduated. It's written mainly in Mike's pov, but alternating between different pov's from time to time. I have put together a playlist you can listen to while reading the chapters. The reading time and song lenght doesn't line up, but feel free to check out the songs! I wrote them in the beginning of every chapter. I am continuously writing and publishing chapters, the story isn't finished yet!
