Ao'nung Tonowari'itan is 18 years old and Tsahìk of the Awa'atlu village. He has been wanting to be Tsahìk of his clan for as long as he could remember. But...even though he is going to be the spiritual leader in his clan, he is also lead by the decision of a chosen mate. And that certain someone, Rai'uk, is rude, abusive, and disrespectful to Ao'nung. Ao'nung has to deal with the pain..but, fear not! Newcomers arrive to the Awa'atlu village for refuge and as time passes, Ao'nung is introduced to a more positive perspective when he's around Neteyam...and as time goes, Ao'nung will find himself falling in love with the forest Navi. This is only going to focus on the ship of Ao'nung and Neteyam together. The rest will be like the background flirty couples. "This is a serious conversation." Neteyam stated, his intense big eyes still looking straight at Ao'nung's soul. "You look at me." He said and it wasn't a request. The metkayina gulped, his heart threatening to beat right out of his chest as he felt Neteyam's thumb rubbing the edge of his jaw. "Go on, what do you want to say?" "What I am saying is.." Ao'nung hesitated again. He felt as if Neteyam already knew what he was about to say and he felt naked under those eyes. As if Neteyam could see all his secrets without Ao'nung having to say a word. "What if I don't want you to choose someone else?" He asked and waited for Neteyam to get angry but the boy's expression remained serious. "And who would I choose then?" Neteyam asked, his voice still as soft as ever, as if afraid to spook Ao'nung. The metkayina swallowed with difficulty as his throat constricted with the heaviness of his emotions and nervousness. He had to be courageous, he had to be brave. So Ao'nung thought 'fuck it' and said exactly what he meant. "Me."

Neteyam struggles with his sense of self-worth, his rocky relationship with his father, and Ao'nung's less than kind approaches. He seeks out Metcayina men for comfort, gets into fights and loses a bit of his perfect firstborn son facade in the midst of all his struggles, before he finally finds himself again and reconciles with the Metcayina chief's son. × Neteyam scoffed, standing to face the other male. Ao'nung grabbed his wrist, lifting the Omaticaya's arm and revealing the slender hand. "You are different. You're not like your brother. " "We have the same parents," Neteyam replied, keeping his voice low and void of his rising fury. "My brother and I are the same." "No," Ao'nung smirked, disagreeing. "Your brother is more like the sky people than you are. It shows even in the way he behaves." "I told you to leave my family alone-" Neteyam warned, pulling his hand free from Ao'nung's loosened grasp. "Or what?" Ao'nung's smirk never left his face. The Metcayina stepped closer, half expecting Neteyam to take a step back, but the dark blue skinned boy never did.

War reaches Awa'atlu. Ao'nung is promised off to Neteyam, Toruk Makto's first born son as a means to strengthen the connections between the tribes of the Metcayina and the Omaticaya. Ao'nung is not thrilled to be married off so soon, and by the looks of things, neither is Neteyam. ABO Dynamics

A couple of tiny glowing fish came over to him, inspecting him. Neteyam watched them, unmoving. His stillness encouraged the little creatures to inch closer, one coming to rest against his nose. Neteyam realized they were the seeds of Eywa - only here, they did not float. Neteyam smiled softly, extending one of his arms, palm facing up. One of the seeds swam into his hand, resting comfortably. Ao'nung slowly sank down to his knees as well, brows furrowed in an unpleasant glare before bubbles escaped his lips in surprise at the sight in front of him. Neteyam glanced his way for a mere second before turning back to Eywa's little creations, watching as they circled his waist before finally swimming away.
