After living a relatively normal, yet ensnared life with her widowed mother, Yoshiko finds herself being plunged into a divergent society completely unlike her own ' Into the Spider-Verse ' style. After being found by a well-known avian roaming the streets, Yoshiko is taken under the wing - literally - of the third pro hero on the board of Japan's most famed heroes, not by choice, of course. 𝐇𝐚𝐰𝐤𝐬 -. The most self-assured, clever, and charismatic hero on this side of Tokyo, never would have thought that he would be the one mentoring a girl that could kill a guy with one icy stare. Being the kind of man that usually has woman falling all over him right and left, he never would have thought that this girl would be the one to knock him for a loop. Before Yoshiko could even gather her bearings, she encounters a man, known for his status in the underground community. After giving Yoshiko a very vague and almost suspicious introduction, he promises her the life that was stripped away from her, only if she swears to help him in kind. Yoshiko, who still has no idea who or what this man is, agrees, not out of fear, but out of desperation. ( The front book cover is my own as well as all images of Erebus!
