Jake Sully, a former marine, living with his family of 6 Tuktirey, Lo'ak, Kiri, Neteyam and his Egyptian wife Neytiri in Chicago move to the other side of the country to a warm/tropical town called Awa'atlu in Hawaii because of a job opportunity of a lifetime. The Sully's were driven out by Quaritch after lo'ak decided to beat up spider for his treatment towards kiri in their relationship cheating on her. Jake decides to move out the city after realizing most of the city has shunned them by Quaritch's influence as army general. Meeting up with an old friend he met through highschool to college Tonowari, he decides to ask him for help to settle down in his town with his family. In this new town he prays that his family can get over their inner problems including him and his disappointment of his second eldest son Lo'ak. The Sully's have to move because their father Jake wants his family near his work place. All the Sully's are nervous and some of them a bit sad to leave so much behind. But they quickly form new relationships with the mayor's children next door, who happen to be future classmates to the Sully kids. Some of them have trouble adjusting to their new home and go through lots of personal stuff. Because of that and their close relationship with each other, they always say that no matter what, the Sully's must stick together.
