Wemmbu has spent years perfecting the art of staying invisible. Growing up in a harsh home taught him to hide every fear and mistake behind a calm mask. College was supposed to be his escape, a place where no one knew what he came from. But Spoke's chaotic friendliness and Parrot's quiet, observant nature make it harder for him to stay unseen.
When a glass shatters in a café and sends Wemmbu into old instincts, both boys witness the fear he never meant to show. Their concern is gentle, but to Wemmbu it feels like exposure and failure. As the three grow closer, he's forced to face something scarier than his past: the idea that people might care about him without judgment or punishment. Slowly, he begins to learn that trust doesn't make him weak - and that maybe he isn't the burden he always believed.
